Alicia Wargo (Program Director)
Alicia has worked in public education for 17 years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in the South Bronx. During her 11 years as a principal, she dramatically increased graduation rates for all learners, implemented restorative practices to decrease suspensions, and supported teachers in developing culturally responsive instruction. The high school she led served as a model for equity implementation in her district. Alicia is currently a Ph.D. student at Antioch University, holds a Master of Education from Bank Street College, a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Temple University
