Rachel Korngut (Principal Coach)
Rachel is a dedicated Texas educator with 17 years of varied experience in the field of special education. Rachel graduated from Texas Women’s University with a degree in Special Education and a minor in Elementary Education before pursuing her Masters of Education in Advanced Literacy at Concordia University. Rachel began her classroom career in Austin ISD where she spent 7 years as a Special Education teacher working in Life Skills and Resource/Inclusion and serving as department chair. Her dedication to serving all children led her to work with African Angels Independent School in Chintsa, South Africa where she taught, created intervention, inclusion, and alternative education programs for students, and trained other teachers. Rachel became clear that her passion was in working to support schools to find solutions for all students – particularly in the most complex or challenging situations. This took her to a large Texas charter network where she has led Special Programs work for 7 years across 4 regions providing professional development, leader coaching, and teacher coaching, ensuring that all students in every school receive supports to meet their individualized needs.
